One wishes to watch sports where sportmen fight to their utmost from beginnig to end; a sport where you can see a respectful behaviour between the contenders; and a sport where nobody wants to be second: then ..., welcome to the Motorbike World Race Championship!!
As a Spanish it's good to see, not only the impressive show most races offer us, but also very encouraging is to see how newer and younger riders are coming into the Championship every year through the efforts of many instances focused on the practise and development of the sport.
But, as I said, given the impressive show offered by the riders, a point is reached in which the best thing to happen is to watch a good race, rather than to be obssesed in the victory of a given individual. Good racing goes beyond nationalities. Good racing should also preferably rely on several riders, not always the same, to avoid predetermined or easy predictable results. Finally, good races also rely on similar quality motorbikes. It's good to have several manufacturers closer to each other than some time ago. Let's hope new rules favour the show for the good of followers.
Among riders, few of them have a special meaning for me. I just hope to see a good race, regardless who wins. Sete Gibernau, was one of such favourite riders, a true worker, honest and pure, who deserved a title. I also enjoyed John Hopkins and Casey Stoner, brave people, able to take risks, who deserve top returns.
